Empirical Thinking

What can I learn from CSI? How can I apply the TV show to my artistic practice? Methodology ... collection ... analytical approaches ... distance from empathy and emotions ... quest for knowledge and truth? As I watch marathon upon marathon of the original CSI, I am trying to figure this out. Or maybe I should go back to school to somehow become a crime scene investigator myself. I like problem-solving.
