Studio studio

So the last blogging attempt didn't work out, but on Sunday I spent two very sweaty hours organizing in my studio ... And it's starting to look like a workspace! Here are some pics:

Tonight I need to bring over a few more things and install shelves, but it will be totally ready on May 13th! Why? For open studios! My building, Indoor Rooftop Studios, is having a 2nd Thursday event with food and beerage (I meant to type beverage, but that works too), music, and lots of art in and out of studios. It starts at 9pm! Come!

Print Fever Finale ... Or is it?

We finally finished - printing over 100 prints over two days and taking a third day for finishing. Here's a shot of Farrar signing some of the edition in my new studio (north 2nd street):

The 60 best, most consistent prints were wrapped up for the Library Company of Philadelphia and featured as a souvenir print for their exhibition "Philadelphia on Stone."

The prints are available for purchase with a donation of $35 or more to LCP. I know they sold at least one at their opening reception last Thursday! Check out their exhibition page at http://www.librarycompany.org

Last Weeks of Enrichment - Books and Prints

More Enrichment Projects - Week 2? - Memory Maps and Collage

At some point we also made frottage drawings ... and maybe something else ...

Better Late than Never?

As promised months ago, here are some images from my awesome (hindsight is a little rosy) enrichment kids. We finished the month with a bang, making collograph prints. Now I'm about to do the same project with my college students!
